I chose to do a presentation on semicolons because in my writing I have struggled in the past with using them properly. As my writing has progressed, I no longer have trouble with them, however, I know many of my peers do. So, I wanted to create a lesson that could potentially help writers understand and properly use semicolons in their own writing. I personally like to use semicolons in my writing, instead of just creating individual sentences. I feel that using semicolons allows my writing to flow better, and feel less choppy, than if I didn’t use them.
